Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown is pleased to announce its 14th annual Sustainability Fair.
The event takes place on Friday, September 12 , from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.; the eco-event will be held in the hotel’s Colonnade Room.
The event highlights the sustainable initiatives of approximately 30 DC-based organizations as well as the hotel’s own environmental program. Some of this year’s participants include:
Alexandria Land Rover Call2Recycle DC Beekeepers DC Department of Energy and Environment Destination DC – Sustainable District Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown Guiding Eyes for the Blind (puppies in training) Keany Produce Lucky Dog Animal Rescue Mayor’s Office of the Clean City DC Metropolitan Police Department To Go Green U.S. Green Building Council World Wildlife Fund Zero Waste in DC Fairmont’s Sustainability Fair is free and open to the public. No reservations are required. Guests will be treated to tastes of honey from the hotel’s rooftop hives, and each guest will be entered to win great prizes. Many of the participants bring complimentary samples and give-a-ways for attendees.
