A pop-up Makers’ Market brings even more excitement to NMWA's twice monthly Free Community Day
Join us for a special holiday market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring goods from women and gender-expansive vendors, makers, and artists. Shop handmade jewelry, art, ceramics, and vintage finds in the museum’s Great Hall.
On Sunday, December 7, 2025, a Makers’ Market once again takes over the museum’s iconic Great Hall. The market will present goods from women and gender-expansive vendors and artists, including traditional linoleum block prints from Espiritu Press, hand-made coconut and apricot wax candles from Petals & Post, as well as a selection of jewelry, sustainable handmade bags & accessories, and hand-painted watercolor postcards and vintage stationary from diverse vendors. The market will be a great place for niche gifts for everyone on your list, from calm tea lovers to feisty aficionados of small batch, organic hot sauce. And what better way to prepare for winter than with traditional, handmade knit items made by indigenous Aymara and Quechua artisans in Peru and Bolivia using traditional knitting techniques and fair-trade alpaca fiber and other ecofriendly fibers. The Makers’ Market takes place during one of the museum’s twice-monthly Free Community Days, when guests are welcome to visit the galleries for free and experience fun drop–in art-making activities at the Open Studio for all ages, guided collection tours, and more.
If you are a vendor who would like to participate in the Makers’ Market, please complete the interest form.
