Seeing the Unseeable: Capturing an Image of a Black Hole

Black holes are cosmic objects so small and dense that nothing, not even light, can escape their gravitational pull. In 2019, the Event Horizon Telescope captured a photograph of a black hole - a new milestone in scientific history. How was this accomplished?
