An Afternoon of Music, Comedy, and Conversations at the First Amendment Festival

From 2-6 P.M., the Grove Stage will host live music all afternoon, celebrating free expression with performances by the acoustic duo The Cahoots, the Stuart-Hobson Jazz Ensemble, and more. Simultaneously, at the Boathouse Stage, you can witness free expression in action with Pulitzer Prize-winning Politico editorial cartoonist Matt Wuerker and other notable figures. For a unique experience, visit the Tent of Extraordinary Freedoms at Seventh and Wharf Streets between 2-6 P.M. to explore historical and pop culture objects that highlight everyday freedoms brought to you by the First Amendment.
At the Pearl Street Warehouse from 2-9 P.M., enjoy intimate performances and conversations celebrating free expression. Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your free tickets for each performance. The lineup includes a 2 P.M. conversation featuring Jenn White, host of WAMU’s “1A,” followed by a 5 P.M. stand-up performance and conversation with comedian and “The Daily Show” contributor Dulcé Sloan about free expression in comedy and her new book “Hello, Friends! Stories of Dating, Destiny and Day Jobs.” The evening concludes with an 8 P.M. go-go performance presented by Don't Mute DC, with admission restricted to those 21 and over.
