Join us for a VIP Evening With Marcia Thomas
Join us for a very special evening as we honor the work of Marcia Thomas, Executive Director of USA For Africa. This VIP dinner will include special opening remarks from Carolyn Rudd, Chairman of The DC Chamber of Commerce as well as other luminaries.
Ms. Marcia Thomas has been at the helm of USA for Africa since it was established in 1985. In these 36 years, USA for Africa has raised more than $100 million to help ease the pain of poverty in Africa and the United States. United Support of Artists for Africa is best known for its 1985 recording of We Are The World and the Hands Across America event in 1986. While the challenges with hunger and climate control seem insurmountable, Ms. Thomas' commitment has stayed strong. More than 500 African organizations in 21 African countries have received funding from the We Are the World project.
