The first and third Sundays of every month are free Community Days for the public. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore current exhibitions as well as the museums collection. Free. Advance reservation of timed tickets required. Reserve at nmwa.org/tickets.
What's On View:
- Sonya Clark: Tatter, Bristle, and Mend is the first survey of textile artist Sonya Clarks 25-year career and includes the artists well-known mixed-media sculptures that address race and visibility, explore Blackness, and reimagine history.
- Mary Ellen Mark: Girlhood presents images photographer Mary Ellen Mark made throughout her career depicting girls and young women.
- Selections from the Collection highlights works from the museums collection, which is regularly rotated to spark new thematic connections.
- Betsabeé Romero: Signals of a Long Road Together is the latest installation in NMWAs public art series, the New York Avenue Sculpture Project.
