Abraham Lincoln wasnt the only celebrity in late 19th-century America. The National Portrait Gallerys new exhibit will feature the work of Mathew Brady, who captured portraits of many of the eras most important figures. The twenty portraits include intimate depictions of inventor Samuel Morse, showman P.T. Barnum, author Nathaniel Hawthorne, musician Teresa Carreño and many more. This exhibition will allow you to experience the culture of the U.S. during Lincolns time like never before.
