A Culinary Destination
One of the world’s oldest and most trusted culinary guidebooks has shined its light on the nation’s capital, as the city received a Michelin Guide to its restaurants in October 2016, becoming only the 4th destination in North America with the prestigious guide. The city’s eclectic mix of fine dining locales and affordable restaurants (known as “Bib Gourmands”) led to the esteemed honor.

Highly respected Bon Appétit magazine awarded DC this coveted designation in August 2016. The publication lauded the cooking at The Dabney in Shaw (blocks from the convention center), Tail Up Goat in Adams Morgan, Masseria in NoMa and many more throughout the city.
